As a country with a majority Muslim population, Indonesia has strong foundations in religious teachings guiding daily life. However, social changes, technological advances, and globalization present challenges in ensuring character education remains relevant and adaptive. Islamic education in Indonesia is central to shaping individual character based on religious and ethical teachings. This study examines the potential of the Living Values Education (LVE) approach as an innovative mainstream in developing Islamic education in Indonesia. This research is a literature study, involving an in-depth analysis of relevant literature. The study shows that LVE provides a holistic approach covering ethical, moral, social, and emotional aspects. In the context of Islamic education, LVE can strengthen the understanding of religious teachings and associate them with universal virtues. The relevance of LVE lies in educators building learning dynamics based on positive character values. Thus, LVE becomes an innovative alternative in Islamic education, encouraging the creation of intelligent, moral, and creative generations for the nation's future.

Schools must be managed properly by all interested parties to advance the world of education. The problems that have occurred until now that schools that seriously pay attention to the health, cleanliness and comfort of the school environment as a place of learning have not been maximized and relatively few. From these problems, principals, teachers and parents are expected to be able to develop educational programs in realizing healthy and superior schools. This research uses a comparative qualitative approach using descriptive methods. This research place consists of two different but similar schools that are developing a healthy and superior school model, namely, Al Amanah Islamic Elementary School Bandung Regency and Plus Bakti Nusantara 666 Elementary School Bandung Regency The results of this study show that the programs developed in character education, love cleanliness and care for the environment, among others, Education/socialization, habituation, exemplary and processing and utilization of waste in schools. The implementation of the program through methods include: the implementation of education / socialization, the implementation of habituation, the implementation of exemplary and the implementation of waste management and utilization, this as a management of character education love of cleanliness and care for the environment has an impact on the realization of healthy and superior schools.

The leadership type of a school principal has a significant role in improving teacher performance and the learning process in schools. This study aims to find out how the principal's leadership type influences the performance of SMPS Barunawati Surabaya teachers. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were tested for credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study show that the principal's leadership in efforts to improve teacher performance in generally good. Teacher performance at SMPS Barunawati Surabaya was observed based on teacher competence. Principal leadership is democratic and has made efforts to improve teacher competency through improving pedagogic, personality, social, professional, discipline, providing motivation, organizing and completing infrastructure, giving appropriate assignments and awards to teachers. This type of principal leadership can increase the commitment and skills of teachers in carrying out their duties.
