Pandemia, Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) e Saúde Coletiva: com-posições e aberturas para mundos outros

Abstract

O objetivo deste ensaio é produzir memórias e problematizar uma série de redes, tramas, disputas e tensões que estão sendo operadas no país diante da pandemia da Covid-19. O texto está constituído por cinco platôs que buscam dar visibilidade e dizibilidade para um diálogo com a produção de novas realidades de socialização no contexto atual. Mais do que ofertar ideias para serem reproduzidas, construímos linhas de pensamento com as quais esperamos afetar e, assim, disparar novos encontros e pensamentos. Com isso, possibilitar a disruptura do mundo pré-pandemia, que não mais existe, e a abertura para a construção de um “mundo outro”, no qual a vida em sua multiplicidade é o comum de todes, e um equivalente geral para qualquer posicionamento ético no agir em saúde.

The decline of Brazil in the global health field: Rupture, loss, and reversal of leadership in the international health agenda

“…As the most extensive public health system in the developing world, the SUS has been an international reference for innovation and good governance in several topics, such as the response to HIV/AIDS (Mello e Souza, 2012); the family health strategy (Macinko & Mendonça, 2018), community health agents (Krieger et al, 2022), and the national immunization program (Domingues et al, 2020). Furthermore, the SUS experience's global reach is as remarkable as the extent to which the system has been resilient to aggressions such as chronic underfunding and thinly veiled privatization of part of the services (Merhy et al, 2022); bad-mouthing among the population, sometimes based on actual dysfunctions, sometimes on cunningly constructed propaganda by sectors eager to expand the private health market (Langbecker et al, 2020); and endemic corruption (Nishijima et al, 2017), among other obstacles.…”
