Palladium Coordination Polymers Nanosheets: New Strategy for Sensitive Photothermal Detection of H2S

Abstract: New strategies for portable detection of highly toxic environmental pollutants are still in urgent need. Here, through Pd 2+ and methylene blue (MB) coordination, photothermal two-dimensional palladium coordination polymers nanosheets (2D PdCPsNSs) have been synthesized for sensitive photothermal detection of H 2 S. The sensing mechanism is based on the decomposing effect of H 2 S to 2D PdCPsNSs, accompanied by the decrease of PdCPsNSs concentration and the increase of MB concentration. Upon H 2 S addition, th… Show more

“…The characteristic main peaks located at binding energies of ≈336.6 and ≈341.8 eV correspond to Pd 3 d 5/2 and Pd 3 d 3/2 , respectively. [ 43–45 ] The high‐resolution O 1 s spectrum shown in Figure 2b is fitted by two components. The peak at binding energy of ≈531.6 eV can be assigned to SO 4 which is matching well with other sulphate groups with the value of 531.6 eV, 531.7 eV for aluminum sulphate Al 2 (SO 4 ) 3 and cadmium sulphate (CdSO 4 ), respectively.…”
