“…Although the process of lipid peroxidation seems relevant for the disease development, data on its markers in CD remain scanty and their diagnostic potential has not been evaluated before. Corroborating fi ndings of others (5,15,16) , we found the levels of MDA/TBARS to be increased in CD patients, more pronouncedly in active than inactive disease.
