Overview of Mucoadhesive Biopolymers for Buccal Drug Delivery Systems

Abstract: Mucoadhesive dosage forms may be intended for facilitation of prolonged retention time at the application site hence providing drug release in a controlled rate for enhanced improvement of therapeutic activity and its outcome.
