Optimized Daily Dispatching Strategy of Building- Integrated Energy Systems Considering Vehicle to Grid Technology and Room Temperature Control

Abstract: Abstract:With the development of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, electric vehicles (EVs) are not only a promising transportation solution, but also can be used as mobile energy storage and spinning reserves, which play an important role in building-integrated energy systems (BIESs) and can further promote energy efficiency. Considering the space-time characteristics of EVs and the room temperature demand, this study establishes a planning model using V2G technology to minimize daily dispatch cost. Four kinds… Show more

“…Taking into account the average lifetime of EV vehicles and of their batteries before a replacement (which can be estimated at roughly eight years according to the period warranty used in most car manufacturers [43,44]), it is more likely that a new vehicle will be acquired rather than a new whole battery is bought more than once. The equation that has been added as (19) can be modified to consider how battery costs impact the maintenance of a V2G solution when the battery is leased instead of purchased (20). Note that both kinds of vehicles will require the payment of yearly insurance costs (which has been represented by Ins).…”

“…The authors of [26] implemented V2G with a time-of-use tariff. This study also showed the impact of considering the indoor temperature of buildings as a constraint on the supply dispatch of a micro-grid.…”

“…Many EVs increase the load in power grids, which will have a negative impact on the safe and reliable operation of power systems. However, except for these negative effects, EVs can bring considerable economic benefits to the distribution system through optimal planning, such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology [4]. According to statistics, the driving time of 80% of vehicles is about 1 h per day, and they are idle for 95% of the day.…”
