Optimization and Experiment of Fertilizer-Spreading Device for Wheat Wide-Boundary Sowing Planter under Full Rice Straw Retention

Abstract: When sowing with a wide boundary under full rice straw retention in the rice–wheat rotation area of China, conventional fertilization methods have some problems, such as a low fertilizer utilization rate, heap soil around a buried fertilizer device, or blocked fertilizing orifice. Firstly, combined with theoretical analysis, discrete element numerical simulation technology, and central composite test method, the wide-boundary fertilization device for wheat wide-boundary sowing was designed. Then, with the coef… Show more

“…It is believed that this phenomenon is caused by the shape of the wheat seeds formed on the DEM with a sphericity of 60% [69]. If the sphericity of the particles was close to 90%, the particles would rotate rather than slide [73,81]. If the wheat spreader inclination exceeds 17.5 degrees, the levels of other factors are limited.…”

“…In order to analyze the significance of the effect of factor changes on indicators and the response trend, the L9 (3 The test results show that: the number of teeth x1 and pressure angle x2 of the fertilizer wheel have significant effects on the fertilizer crushing rate y1 and the fertilizer uniformity coefficient y2 ((0.01<P<0.05), the number of teeth and pres- Since the effect of the fertilization gap on fertilizer crushing rate and the fertilizer uniformity coefficient is insignificant [36,37]. According to the preliminary study and market research, it is known that the smaller the fertilization gap, the lower the manufacturing cost of the fertilizer drainage device, and the more significant the fertilization gap, the larger the flow of the fertilizer drainage device and the fertilization gap = 6mm is selected for comprehensive analysis.…”

“…The operating parameters of the implements, such as forward speed (V 0 ), seeding quantity (S Q ), and rotary tillage speed (N T ), influence the lateral relative error of wheat seeds during operation [34]. The parameter ranges of the implement were forward speed: 0.8~1.6 m/s, seeding quantity: 150~300 kg/hm 2 , and rotary tillage speed: 180~280 rpm.…”
