“…However, it is a challenging task to find the nonlinear function p(x) and the observer gain l(x) that can satisfy this requirement as well as the relation (19). Many previous designs exploit the simple structure of disturbance input matrix s 1 (x) being a identity matrix so that the observer gain can be chosen as a constant matrix and p(x) can be found by integration (see e.g.…”

“…On the other hand, adaptive controls, which exploit wind estimation, potentially have the capability to conclude the ongoing flight phase. Wind shear estimation methods, based on extended Kalman filter and unscented Kalman filters, have been proposed in the very interesting seminal papers [11] and [12] respectively. This paper proposes a novel adaptive control to achieve an automatic longitudinal guidance and control system able to follow the glide slope trajectory during a precision approach.…”

“…An accurate observation of the disturbance input can be used to decrease the disturbance responses. Several studies have been conducted on disturbance observers, [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] and a design method for H 1 preview control systems with state feedback was proposed. 8) We have previously proposed a disturbance observer based on multipoint feedback; 9) furthermore, we combined an H 1 preview controller with a disturbance observer and formulated finite-horizon time settings for it.…”
