onewaytests: An R Package for One-Way Tests in Independent Groups Designs

Abstract: One-way tests in independent groups designs are the most commonly utilized statistical methods with applications on the experiments in medical sciences, pharmaceutical research, agriculture, biology, engineering, social sciences and so on. In this paper, we present the onewaytests package to investigate treatment effects on the dependent variable. The package offers the one-way tests in independent groups designs, which include ANOVA, Welch's heteroscedastic F test, Welch's heteroscedastic F test with trimmed … Show more

“…If an interaction showed a significant effect, the Games-Howell post hoc test was used to account for unequal variance. The analysis was performed using R 3.3.2 (R Core Team, 2016) and the packages onewaytests (Dag et al, 2016) and userfriendlyscience (Peters, 2016). We compared the number of enterococci colony forming units (CFU) in diverse and simple diet groups (without antibiotic treatment) using a t-test.…”

“…Significance was set at the p < .05 level. Statistical analyses were performed using the software R‐3.5.2 (R Core Team, ) with additional package onewaytests (Dag, Dolgun, & Konar, ). A two‐sample Kolmogorov–Smirnov test with a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05) was used to test differences in size frequency distributions of H. dactylopterus by area (seamounts and islands).…”

“…FER phenotypes, scored as percentages, were arccosine transformed before performing statistical analysis. The Kruskal–Wallis one-way analysis of variance and the Kruskal–Dunn post hoc test, available in the R package PMCMR ( Pohlert, 2014 ) were applied to detect significant differences between maize accessions tested in the RTA experiment; the Welch one-way ANOVA and the Games–Howell post hoc test, available in the R packages one waytes ( Dag et al, 2017 ) and user friendly science ( Peters, 2017 ) were applied for FER field evaluation.…”
