According to the “2021 Annual Overview of Marine Casualties and Incidents,” published by the European Maritime Agency (EMSA) [ 1 ], from 2014–2020 a total of 550 people went missing in accidents, and 367 people were identified as dead; 89.1% of the victims were seafarers.
