Obesity Increases Risk for Pouch-Related Complications Following Restorative Proctocolectomy with Ileal Pouch–Anal anastomosis (IPAA)

Abstract: Obesity is associated with an increased risk of overall and pouch-related complications following IPAA. Obese patients should be counseled preoperatively about these risks accordingly.
