Nutrition Counseling Increases Fruit and Vegetable Intake in the Edentulous

Abstract: Edentulous denture-wearers eat fewer fruits and vegetables than do comparable dentate individuals. Improved chewing ability with new dentures has resulted in little dietary improvement, suggesting that dietary intervention is necessary.
