“…However, of the 4 trials in our analysis, 2 (Hamel, 2001; Rejeh et al, 2016) did not specify the puncture site, 1 (Argstatter et al, 2006) had 95% of patients undergoing transfemoral PCI, and 1 (Cadigan et al, 2001) had 62% of the patients undergoing radial PCI, which reportedly has a stronger effect on BP. In addition, 3 (Ciğerci et al, 2019; Nilsson, 2012; Nilsson et al, 2009) of 4 trials included in our meta-analysis were conducted more than a decade ago and thus may not reflect the effect of current PCI techniques and instrumentation on BP. Since the volume, duration, and intervention timepoint employed in these studies were not mentioned explicitly, and as only 1 trial (Argstatter et al, 2006) employed a music therapist, a comparative study with a consistent music intervention provided by a music therapist or nurse is warranted.…”

“…Music intervention is recognized as the most common non-pharmaceutical anxiety management strategy because it is safe, non-invasive, and simple (Lee et al, 2017). A systematic review of 44 studies found that music intervention reduced anxiety and pain in 54% and 34.1% of the study participants, respectively (Ciğerci, Kısacık, Özyürek, & Çevik, 2019).…”
