NNLO QCD corrections to the Drell–Yan cross section in models of TeV-scale gravity

Abstract: The first results on the complete next-to-nextto-leading order (NNLO) Quantum Chromodynamic (QCD) corrections to the production of di-leptons at hadron colliders in large extra dimension models with spin-2 particles are reported in this article. In particular, we have computed these corrections to the invariant mass distribution of the dileptons taking into account all the partonic sub-processes that contribute at NNLO. In these models, spin-2 particles couple through the energy-momentum tensor of the Standard… Show more

“…where the SM results are known exactly upto NNLO level for long time (see [35][36][37][38]) and result at N 3 LO in the soft gluon approximation is also available, see [39]. For the spin-2 case with universal coupling, namely κ G = κ Q = κ, the results upto NNLO level can be found in [13,28]. In this article, we have extended this computation to NNLO QCD for the case of non-universal couplings i.e., when κ G and κ Q are different.…”

“…This involved various steps: to begin with NLO corrections were evaluated [13], followed by the two loop quark and gluon form factors [26], which lead to the computation of NNLO QCD corrections to the graviton production in models of TeV-scale gravity, within the soft-virtual approximation [27]. Finally the complete NNLO QCD corrections to the production of di-leptons at hadron colliders in large extra dimension models with spin-2 particles are reported in [28].…”

“…The computation of S Λ,(i) a for a = g, q; Λ = G, J, GJ, JG, i = 0, 1, 2 closely follows the steps used in [67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74]. We briefly describe the main steps involved.…”

“…ADD and RS for most of the di-final state process [28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35] and this has been extended to NLO+PS accuracy [36][37][38]. Recently, for the di-lepton production to NNLO order in QCD for the ADD model was computed [39].…”
