Nitrogenous Constituents and Free Amino acid Content in the Seminal Plasma of Buffalo (Bos Bubalis) in Different Periods of the Year in Relation to Fertility

Abstract: Summary Semen of eight Murrah buffalo bulls was analysed for different nitrogenous constituents in different periods of the year and for the free amino acid content of seminal plasma. Total nitrogen, protein nitrogen, non‐protein nitrogen and amino acid nitrogen were found to be 649.10 ± 12.83, 532 ± 11.56, 116.26 ± 2 and 99.13 ± 4.4 mg. / 100 ml., of seminal plasma.
