Neutralino dark matter in the MSSM with CP violation

Abstract: In the MSSM, the presence of CP phases can have a significant impact on the neutralino relic abundance. These phase effects are on the one hand due to shifts in the masses, on the other hand due to modifications of the couplings. Typical variations in Ωh 2 solely from modifications in the couplings are O(10%-100%).

“…where T 0 is the temperature of the microwave background. In this work we adopt the freeze-out approximation, and use micrOMEGAs3.3 for numerical calculation of the relic density [73,74]. The freeze-out temperature T f can be defined from the relation Y (T f ) = (1 + δ) Y eq (T f ) with δ being a constant and can be determined by solving with δ = 1.5 [73].…”

“…Still, simply to perform a pioneering investigation, we have examined a first example of such a proposal. to be definite, we have chosen the recently proposed approach that can be called light stop scenario connected with electroweak baryogenesis [23]. These scenarios involve CP violating phases.…”

“…The WIMPs are the most studied CDM candidates and arise naturally in several theoretical frameworks such as Supersymmetry [7,8], Universal Extra Dimensions [9], Little Higgs Models [10], Technicolor [11], etc., but since all these theories remain hypothetical [12], it is equally worthwhile to tackle less conventional possibilities. For this reason, we are going to explore a small gauge extension of the electroweak sector of SM, SU(3) C ⊗ SU(3) L ⊗ U(1) N , 3-3-1 for short (for a nice review see Ref.…”
