Kunstadter and Rosenblum (1954) described a baby with the nephrotic syndrome, beginning at 9 days and associated with severe anaemia: this infant died at 72 days and, at necropsy, the glomeruli showed hyperaemia and increased cellularity, with occasional capsular proliferation and adherence to the tufts. In the only newborn infant in our series, x-ho also presented clinically as a nephrotic, the kidneys showed, on biopsy and at necropsy, the typical appearance of acute diffuse glomerulonephritis including polymorphonuclear exudation, a feature not mentioned in previous reports.…”
