National unity and reconciliation in Rwanda: A flawed approach?

Abstract: This article examines the Rwandan government's national unity and reconciliation policy and one of its key elements, the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC). “…Además de agilizar el proceso penal en un momento en que el país no podía asumir la instrucción de todos los casos, estos tribunales permitieron que los agresores confesaran sus crímenes y que las víctimas conocieran la verdad sobre lo que les había ocurrido a sus familiares, y su valoración es positiva entre los ruandeses, en general (Clark, 2014).
