Nanojacketing and Dejacketing of ds-DNA: A Nondestructive Characterization of a Nanojacketed Sample by Impedance Spectroscopy

Abstract: A facile approach of nanojacketing DNA in intact conformation is evolved by the in situ polymerization of o-methoxyaniline (OMA) at 30 °C using HAuCl4 as an oxidant and DNA as a soft template. It concomitantly produces poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA) and a Au nanojacket encapsulating the double stranded DNA (ds-DNA). The POMA chains remain adhered to the Au nanojacket, facilitating the dissolution of nanojacketed DNA (DNA-Au-POMA) in organic solvent without affecting its conformation. Digestion of the nanojacket… Show more

“…DNA, is perhaps the most studied biopolymer to date because of its importance in controlling the heredity of life by its base sequence. 11,12 Interactions about small molecules with DNA are of great interest from the perspective of medicinal or clinical research. 13 A lot of effort have been made by various researchers to discover novel therapeutic agents.…”

“…Energy efficiencies are simulated when data length is 255/511/2023/2047byte respectively. Reference [2] has the same theoretical calculation method of energy consumption and energy efficiency as that in Reference [1]. Matlab simulation experiment proves that in certain nodes intensity threshold, increasing nodes intensity can increase SNR so as to increase PER performance and the performance of FEC scheme is superior to ARQ.…”

“…When comparing energy efficiencies of different error control, References [1][2][3][4] all adopt formula in Reference [5] to estimate BER and verify theoretical analysis results through Matlab simulation. However, in practical usage, because of the fixed characteristic of WSN, the error distribution has considerable discrepancy from the empirical formula of calculating BER in traditional wireless network in Reference [5] and the truth when error occurs in WSN can't be obtained through Matlab simulation, which lead to the inaccurate estimation of energy efficiency.…”
