Multi‐responsive hydrogels based on N‐isopropylacrylamide and sodium alginate

Abstract: Hydrogels consisting of sodium alginate and N‐isopropylacrylamide covalently crosslinked with N,N′‐methylenebisacrylamide were prepared. The mixed‐interpenetrated networks obtained were characterized using elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopy, swelling measurements and environmental scanning electron microscopy.
