“…ERMANENT magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) manifest superior advantages of high efficiency, high torque density and fast dynamics, and thus been widely applied to modern civil and industrial equipment. Since the PMSMs are mostly supplied from pulse-width modulation (PWM) controlled inverters [1], there exists large amounts of time harmonics inside the motor components which will generate eddy-current and hysteresis losses.
