Research on multilingualism in the home has approached the family as a fixed unit thus neglecting the dynamic view of the family and its intersection with family language practices. The present study aims to address this gap by focusing on Russian-speaking mothers in Finland who have raised their children bilingually in single-parent as well as in dualparent families. Russian speakers are the largest minority language group in Finland, and their number is constantly growing. The current study is a contribution to the research on family language practices in the Finnish context. It examines the nexus of shifts in family configurations and language practices and explores how the dynamic changes in family constellations shape language practices in four families. The study reveals that creating new kinships leads to shifts in the language practices of the peripheral family members and that forming voluntary kin can expand heritage language use and enable an overhearer and bystander role for children. Non-residential family members expand the family's linguistic repertoire and support the legitimacy of already established practices. Being sole caretakers enables mothers to encourage language practices that they consider beneficial for their children without encountering any resistance from other family members.

In the past decade, intense mobility within Asia has led to increased international marriage (kokusai kekkon) in the region. A growing number of scholars have explored this phenomenon—called the intimate part of Asia—with a focus on foreign brides from emerging economies. Concerning international marriage between Japanese and Koreans, most research focuses on the Korean wives of Japanese husbands who reside in Japan, and little research has been conducted on the Japanese wives of Korean husbands. In this study, the postmigration experiences of Japanese marriage migrant women in South Korea are explored. Semistructured interviews were conducted in Korea with 13 participants. Drawing on the interview data, this article elucidates the trajectories of Japanese marriage migrants, focusing on subjective elements. The participants' accounts demonstrate that their experiences were intertwined with the media, politics, gender roles, parenting ideologies, and family relations. Their various emotional responses underline the ways such factors have shaped their lives.

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de investigar aspectos sobre Bilinguismo e Políticas Linguísticas em uma família brasileira de nipodescendentes, tendo por base o aporte teórico sobre Bilinguismo (MOZZILLO, 2001; SPINASSÉ, 2006; PUPP SPINASSÉ e MOZZILLO, 2021) e Políticas Linguísticas (CALVET, 2007; RAJAGOPALAN, 2013; SPOLSKY, 2016). Os dados foram coletados através de entrevistas e a análise foi feita baseada nos pressupostos interpretativos de cunho qualitativo (ERICKSON, 1985; 1991). Os dados sugerem que eles adotaram a política de utilizar o português mesmo enquanto residissem no Japão. Conforme a classificação de Mozzillo (2001), todos são considerados bilíngues em diferentes níveis.
