“…Van Horn, Dahlin & Bickel (1963) reported the presence of "cementicles" in ten instances of fibrous dysplasia of extragnathic sites while Friedman & Goldtnan (1969) reported two cases of cementoma arising in the humerus and femur, respectively. A cursory review of the literature has yielded 34 cases of extragtiathic ossifying fibroma of facial bones, primarily frontal and ethmoid, which are composed almost exclusively of spheroidal calcifications microscopically indistinguishable from so-called central cementifying fibroma (Beck 1930, Betijamins 1938, Billings & Ringertz 1946, Bruntier 1952, Eden 1939, Eggston & Wolff 1947, Eichen & Schurmann 1937, Feiring, Feiring & Davidoff 1951, Fetissof 1929, Fry & DeLong 1941, Gass 1965, Geschickter 1936, GogI 1949, Harpman I960, Hoboek 1951, Lehner 1969, Rossi & Cherubini 1961, Schwaitz 1964, Skolnik & Fornatto 1955, Smith & Zavaleta 1952, Stamm 1956, Thomas & Kasper 1966, Towson 1950, Ueda et al 1967, Wong, Vaughati & Strong 1965, W^oodruff 1945.…”

“…Blood chemistries demon¬ strated normal serum calcium, 10 Roentgen ray examination findings primarily showed a diffuse bone thickening involving the mastoid process, temporal articular fossa, ante¬ rior wall, floor, roof, and posterioi wall of the external auditory canal, and diffuse bony thick¬ ening of the septa of cells along the sinus groove.
