Molar Excess Volumes and Excess Isentropic Compressibilities of {2-Methylaniline (i) + Benzene (j) + Methylbenzene}, {2-Methylaniline (i) + Benzene (j) + 1,2-Dimethylbenzene (k)}, and {2-Methylaniline (i) + Benzene (j) + 1,4-Dimethylbenzene (k)} at T = 308.15 K

Abstract: Molar excess volumes, V E ijk , and speeds of sound, U ijk , of {2-methylaniline (i) + benzene (j) + methylbenzene (k)}, {2-methylaniline (i) + benzene (j) + 1,2-dimethylbenzene (k)}, and {2-methylaniline (i) + benzene (j) + 1,4-dimethylbenzene (k)} have been measured as a function of composition at a temperature of 308.15 K. The observed speeds of sound data have been utilized to determine excess isentropic compressibilities, κ S ijk E of ternaries (i + j + k).

“…The resulting parameters along with standard deviations σ ( X 123 E ) ( X = V or κ S ) expressed by the relation, σ ( X 123 E ) = { false[ prefix∑ X 123 normalE X 123 { calc . Eq . false( 9 false) } normalE false] 2 / false( normalm n false) } 0.5 where m is the number of data points and n is the number of adjustable parameters of eq and are recorded in Table . The various surfaces generated by V 123 E and (κ S E ) 123 values {evaluated by employing eq } for the investigated mixtures are shown in Figures and , , and , respectively.…”

“…The C P E values for the studied binary mixtures are plotted in Figure . The representative surfaces generated by the ( C P E ) 123 values (evaluated using eq ) for [emim][BF 4 ] (1) + 2MA (2) + A or MA (3) mixtures at 298.15 K are plotted in Figures and , respectively. In Figure , the ( C P E ) 123 values corresponding to the 1–2 axis were obtained by keeping x 3 constant and varying the values of x 1 and x 2 (shown as blue lines), while ( C P E ) 123 values corresponding to the 1–3 axis were obtained by keeping x 2 constant and varying the values of x 1 and x 3 (shown as red lines).…”
