A… Show more

“…The increase in the complex viscosity followed an inverse relationship with POSS content in PP-POSS. An increase in the complex viscosity was not expected since the POSS grade used in this study has a very low viscosity (0.001 Pa s −1 ) at 190 C. [9] This indicates that the overall rheological behavior of the PP-POSS systems is not only associated with that of a two-liquid PP-POSS emulsion, since a decrease in the viscosity would be expected with an increase in the amount of POSS with very low viscosity in the high viscosity PP matrix. Accordingly, the rheological behavior of PP-POSS in the molten state must also have a "solid-liquid dispersion" component.…”

“…where the parameter C is the natural logarithm of the pre-exponential factor (A) multiplied by a function that describes the crystallization model, dX T /dtis the instantaneous crystallization rate, R is the universal gas constant, and T is the absolute temperature. The relative degree of crystallinity, X T , was calculated according to Equation (9), where dH c /dT is the crystallization enthalpy at an infinitesimal temperature and T 0 and T ∞ are the onset and endset crystallization temperatures, respectively.
