“…It is known that to ensure objective calculation results, all components of the water balance equation must comply with the principle of equal accuracy. Meanwhile, the analysis of special literature and previously performed field experiments [3][4][5][6][7][8][9] shows that when calculating the water balance of ameliorated soil, the soil runoff is the least justified value in comparison with other elements of the water balance. This is confirmed by the fact that in most calculation methods the value of soil runoff is calculated as the excess of the current moisture reserves of the soil (Wi, mm) over the upper limit of their regulation, equal to the lowest moisture capacity (Wнв, mm).…”
