Model-Driven Development in the Production of Customizable Learning Objects

Abstract: Learning Objects (LO) are digital resources developed to help teachers present pedagogical concepts to students. However, the way these resources are produced does not allow teachers to adapt them to the reality of their students. Thus, this paper proposes a development process of customizable learning objects using a strategy based on models. Based on this approach, teachers will make adjustments to LO and thus achieve more autonomy in the use of these resources.

“…The literature on LO creation typically contains a discussion of the development of LOs from either a technological or an instructional designing viewpoint [5,10,11,12,13,14], rather than the model of creating the repository of several LOs. All three models we studied are based on methodologies that have been implemented successfully to build a repository [15].…”
