“…En el sur del Perú, dicha hierba crece en los departamentos andinos de Junín, Ayacucho y Cuzco, específicamente en setiembre (primavera), cuando brotan las primeras hojas (Cano et al, 2008). En 2017, en el Perú los adultos mayores consumieron el 5.8 % de esta hierba (Aguirre Tipismana 2017; Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática-Perú, 2017), sea para aliviar dolores digestivos o respiratorios (Roersch, 2016), o lo aplicaron, por ejemplo, como repelente de insectos durante el almacenamiento de papa, debido a su alto contenido de terpenoides en el aceite esencial.
