Maturity modelling integrated with apatite fission-track dating: Implications for the thermal history of the Mid-Polish Trough (Poland)

Abstract: a b s t r a c tThe Mid-Polish Trough (MPT) is situated in the easternmost part of the Central European Basin System (CEBS) and stretches NW-SE across the Polish Basin. It was characterised by pronounced subsidence and thick sediment accumulation between the Permian and the Late Cretaceous. Late Cretaceous-early Paleogene basin inversion led to the formation of the Mid-Polish Swell (MPS). The study area is located within the Pomeranian segment of the MPT/MPS (NW Poland) and experienced up to 7 km PermianMesozoi… Show more

“…The highest frequency of the AFT ages is in the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous (Tab. 3) i.e., they are older than inversion of the German-Polish Basin (e.g., Senglaub et al, 2005;Resak et al, 2010;Łuszczak et al, 2020).…”

“…Along with the development of petroleum geology theory and the wide application of computing technology, quantitative research on the thermal maturity evolution of source rocks in the geological period is of great significance. Basin simulation method has become an important method in the thermal maturity evolution and spatial distribution characteristics of source rocks in sedimentary basin (Belaid et al, 2010;Berthonneau et al, 2016;El-Shahat et al, 2009;Hakimi and Ahmed, 2016;Hudson and Hanson, 2010;Kosakowski et al, 2013;Pang et al, 2004Pang et al, , 2012Qiu et al, 2010Qiu et al, , 2012Resak et al, 2010;Zhu et al, 2016;Zuo et al, 2011Zuo et al, , 2013aZuo et al, , 2014Zuo et al, , 2015aZuo et al, , 2015bZuo et al, , 2016aZuo et al, , 2016b.…”
