Management in Peptic Ulcer Hemorrhage:A Dutch National Inquiry

Abstract: There are important differences in management of peptic ulcer hemorrhage between gastroenterologists and internists in the Netherlands. Management is only partly in accordance with evidence-based medicine.

Similar surveys like the underlying inquiry were performed previously in the Netherlands and in France [12,18] with substantial differences in the response rates of 73 % and 34%, respectively, leaving our survey with 49 % in between.
