Abstract:The magnetic susceptibility χ of n-type GaAs was determined for a wide variety of dopants and carrier concentrations n ranging from 3.0 × 10 6 cm −3 to 3.6 × 10 18 cm −3 over a temperature range from 9 to 300 K. A constant χ is found for n up to ≈ 2 × 10 17 cm −3 (at 300 K). For higher n, the diamagnetic susceptibility increases linearly with n 1/3 in accordance with the Landau-Peierls term. This behavior is independent of the type of dopant. In contrast to χ , the rate of change dχ/dT depends on n in a more c… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
