Magnetic metal organic framework for pre-concentration of ampicillin from cow milk samples

Abstract: The aim of this study is a present of a simple solvothermal synthesis approach to preparation of Cu-based magnetic metal organic framework (MMOF) and subsequently its application as sorbent for ultrasound assisted magnetic solid phase extraction (UAMSPE) of ampicillin (AMP) from cow milk samples prior to high performance liquid chromatography-Ultraviolet (HPLC-UV) determination. Characteristics of prepared MMOF were fully investigated by different techniques which showed the exclusive properties of proposed so… Show more

“…Recently, most researchers combine MOF with functional nano- and microparticles to prepare porous nanocomposites. , Such materials had the functions of nanomaterials while retaining the special structure and properties of MOFs, thus expanding the application scope of MOF materials . In particular, the combination of magnetic nanoparticles and MOFs to form magnetic MOF (MMOF) materials has attracted great interest from researchers by the feature of localization or collection by an external magnetic field . The combination of MOF material and magnetic nanoparticles has the following advantages: (1) The target ability of MMOF material application was enhanced.…”

By selection of suitable target substances and regulation of the synthesis conditions, MMOF materials could be constructed for specific applications (e.g., catalysis, adsorption, and release).…”

“…The deposition and hydrophobic interaction between Fe3O4-NH2@MOF-235 and the analyte plays an important role in the adsorption process, and the maximum adsorption capacity can be reached Up to now, more and more studies on the development and application of MMOFs for analyzing pesticide and veterinary drug residues were reported. The detection targets also extended to fluoroquinolones [141,142], sulfonamides [143], ampicillin [144], nitroimidazoles [145], benzoylurea insecticides [146], tetracycline [147], triazine herbicides [148] et al, Duo et al, synthesized a novel, spinel-like magnetic metal-organic skeleton material (Fe 3 O 4 -NH 2 @MOF-235) by a two-step solvothermal method, and used as SPE adsorbent for simultaneous extraction and determination of five benzoyl urea pesticides in honey, fruit juice and tap water samples [149]. The deposition and hydrophobic interaction between Fe 3 O 4 -NH 2 @MOF-235 and the analyte plays an important role in the adsorption process, and the maximum adsorption capacity can be reached within 5 min.…”
