Lymphocyte Subsets in Repeated Apheresis Donors.

Abstract: To investigate the influence of apheresis on lymphocyte subsets, we compared lymphocyte subsets of repeated apheresis donors (RADs) with those of nondonor controls (NDCs).Males were divided into three age groups; group A (age range 19-34 years, RADs; n=19,30+ 11 donations/2y, NDCs; n=16), group B (35-54 years, RADs; n=16, 32+10 donations/2y, NDCs; n=20) and group C (55-67 years, RADs; n14, 32+8 donations/2y, NDCs; n=8). Females were divided into two age groups; group D (19-34 years, RADs; n=14, 23+8 donations/… Show more

“…The effect of calcium ions on the structure of the glass is therefore to increase the rigidity of the phosphate PÀOÀP interconnec-tivity, which could be interpreted by the more rigid coordination shell of calcium [47] compared to that of sodium. [48,49] This increased rigidity of the phosphate network with the addition of calcium content could be linked to the observed slower solubility of glasses with higher CaO content. [10] Figure 4 reports the decomposition of the PÀO RDFs into the BO and NBO components.…”

“…The following buffers were used (7,8) leupeptin (Boehringer Mannheim Co., Mannheim, Germany), antipain (Sigma Co.), chymostatin (Sigma Co.), and soybean trypsin inhibitor (Boehringer Mannheim Co.) were designated as TGMPI and TEGMPI, respectively. TGMPI containing 10 mM sodium molybdate was designated as TGMPIMo.…”

“…The soluble receptor fraction from COS-7 cells transfected with pSV2RcER was prepared witln TGMPIMo. Ammonium sulfate was added to the cytosol at 40 % saturation as previouly described (7,8). The resulting precipitate was collected, resuspended and dialyzed against TGMPIMo (designated as cMoERs).…”
