<strong>Breeding for </strong><strong>Root-Knot Nematode </strong><strong>Resistance in Eggplant: Progress and Prospects</strong>

Abstract: Eggplant is a functional food owing to its anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and cardio-protective properties. Root-knot nematodes (RKN) are a threat to the successful production of eggplant. RKN infestation manifests as root damage, stunted development, and structural deformations of the plant.
