Lower levels of insulin‐like growth factor‐1 standard deviation score are associated with histological severity of non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease

Abstract: Low levels of circulating IGF-1 may have a role in the development of advanced NAFLD, independent of insulin resistance. Supplementation with GH/IGF-1 may be a candidate for the treatment of NASH.
