Loop‐Mediated Isothermal Amplification as a Fast Noninvasive Method of Helicobacter pylori Diagnosis

Abstract: LAMP technique has been characterized by high sensitivity and low detection limit for the detection of H. pylori in stool specimen. Clinical diagnostic performance of LAMP was better than the stool antigen test.

“…The rate of positivity was 82%, that is much higher than the RUT (53%) and culture (44%) and also higher than the stool antigen test (SAT) (58%). 34 A droplet-digital PCR (ddPCR) using 16S rDNA as the target gene was developed by Talarico et al 35 After this first step, their goal was to develop a ddPCR targeting cagA and able to identify its EPIYA phosphorylation motifs, directly from stools. The test allowed to detect Molecular targeting methods can be applied on colonies grown in culture, such as Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) to compare isolates from parents and their children 39 or to detect multiple H. pylori infection, for example 48% of the cases in Tunisia but only 5% in France.…”

“…The proportion of gastric cancer incidence varies regionally. South America, Eastern Europe, and especially eastern Asia are the most susceptible regions (Yari et al, 2016). Globally, most gastric cancer patients are unresectable when diagnosed (Chen, Li, Zhao, Xiao, & Guo, 2017).…”
