Therefore, the use of 1-methylcyclopropene or silver-containing solutions is necessary to enhance the vase life of cut E. ibaguense flowers (Finger et al 2008). During the postharvest storage of flowers, the high rates of respiration and water loss accelerate the senescence.…”
