Based on the works of Lithuanian and foreign scientists, this article analyses the problems of precarious employment or synonymous compliance-insecure work. The distinguished dimensions of the theoretical analysis of the insecure employment form the supporting field of the article, and the empirical part consists of the data of the statistical data (Eurostat, Migration Department, EU Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS), Lithuanian Public Employment Service, Lithuanian Department of Statistics, review of the legal acts (legal basis of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Union) and the data obtained during the qualitative survey. The conducted analysis made it possible to highlight the conditions of insecure employment of foreigners working in Lithuania as non-EU citizens, including insecurity due to loss of income, poor career opportunities, abuse by employers, or uncertainty about job retention. The integration of migrant workers into the Lithuanian labour market is particularly problematic from a legal point of view-the possibility of changing the employer's temporary residence permit (TRP) during the issuing period has been made more difficult. In the latter case, the employee is, so to speak, tied to a specific job, and the employer has the possibility to dispose of the amount of remuneration, the loss of work and, of course, the lack of safe working conditions. Insecurity is exacerbated by the limitations of the legal framework as well as strict regulations/migration procedures. The problems are exacerbated in times of crisis, when there is a risk of losing one's job, delays in processing migration documents, reduced wages, and insufficient social protection.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors determining the autonomy of the medical resident in the hierarchical structure of Lithuanian doctors. Due to the different legal practices that have a direct impact on the autonomy of the medical resident, a three-level model is constructed: macro, meso, micro, according to which the impact of the system on the autonomy of the medical resident is analyzed. At the meso level, the requirements and regulations of the macro level affect the individual on micro level by creating an environment for acceptable relationships and actions. At the macro level, health care system organizations recognize the medical resident as a specialist and coordinate residency by implementing laws. According to the Medical Practice Act, which defines a medical resident, medical residents must follow the instructions of a residency supervisor or other professional until they complete their training. The autonomy of the medical resident is influenced both by the medical community due to its low hierarchical position and by health care system organizations that control the regulation of medical residency itself. The position of a student directs the medical resident to practical learning, when only acquired additional qualifications grant the license of a medical specialist, and the status of an employee in the residency bases enables direct participation in the Lithuanian medical community through working relationships. Participating in direct relationships with doctors is part of the professionalization process, when the social norms of doctors are adopted and competences are acquired. Due to the hierarchical structure of the medical community, medical residents, as holders of only the first license, are at the bottom of the hierarchy and do not have extensive autonomy to make their own decisions.

In application of flexible thin materials, it is very important to evaluate mechanical properties of these materials in both analytical and technological interests. In this study, a new and convenient mechanical testing method (Own-Weight Cantilever Method) is provided for measuring Young's modulus in flexible materials (thin plate, or wire). The method is based on a nonlinear theory that takes into account the large deformation behavior of flexible materials. By means of measuring horizontal or vertical displacement at the free end of a cantilever, Young's modulus can be easily obtained for various thin plate or wire materials. In this study, measurements were carried out on a thin piano wire. The result reveals that the new method is suitable for thin flexible materials. In the meantime, the new " Own-Weight Cantilever Method" proposed in this paper is quite a promising method and can be extended to measure Young's modulus of every thin layer in a flexible multilayered material formed by PVD, CVD, Electrodeposition, Coating, Paint, Cladding, Lamination, and others.
