Les marchands de couleurs au xix e   siècle, artisans ou experts ? (Paris, Tours)

Abstract: Après un bref historique de la catégorie des marchands de couleurs, issue d’une branche de la corporation des épiciers et apparue en tant que telle à la fin du xviii siècle à Paris, on s’intéresse, dans cet article, à leurs rapports avec les artistes et les amateurs d’art de l’Empire jusqu’à la Troisième République à Paris.
