in order to determine the age, growth, and reproductive season. Fork lengths and weights of these samples varied between 11.5-24.3 cm and 22.80-259.00 g, respectively. Age estimates obtained from scales and vertebrae were compared to determine the most reliable bony structure for ageing. The precision analyses indicated that scales were the most appropriate hard structures for determining the age of white bream. Ages of all the specimens ranged from I to VI years and age group III was dominant. The parameters of the von Bertalanffy growth equations were calculated as L∞ = 32.85 cm, W∞ = 707.76 g, k = 0.11 year -1 and t0 = -2.64 year, and the growth performance index (Φ') value was computed as 2.074 for combined sexes. Fork length-weight relationship was found to be W = 0.0066 FL 3.317 . The mean condition factor was the highest in August and the lowest in October. The gonadosomatic index values showed that the reproduction occurred between May and June.Keywords: Ageing, scale, growth, reproduction season, Blicca bjoerkna, Lake Ladik Pul ve omurdan elde edilen yaşlar en güvenilir kemiksi yapının tespit edilmesi amacıyla karşılaştırılmıştır. Uyum analizleri Tahta Balığı'nın yaşının belirlenmesi için en uygun yapının pul olduğunu göstermiştir. Örneklerin yaşları I-VI arasında dağılım göstermiş ve III yaş grubu baskın yıl sınıfını oluşturmuştur. Populasyon genelinde von Bertalanffy büyüme denklemi parametreleri L∞ = 32,85 cm, W∞ = 707,76 g, k = 0,11 yıl -1 ve t0 = -2,64 yıl ve büyüme performans indeks değeri (Φ') 2,074 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Çatal boy-ağırlık ilişkisi W = 0,0066 ÇB 3,317 şeklinde elde edilmiştir. En yüksek ve en düşük ortalama kondisyon faktörü değerleri sırasıyla Ağustos ve Ekim aylarında elde edilmiştir. Gonadosomatik indeks değerleri üreme faaliyetinin Mayıs-Haziran aylarında gerçekleştiğini göstermiştir. RESEARCH ARTICLE

ABSTRAKLobster bambu (Panulirus versicolor) merupakan komoditas perikanan penting yang telah diekspolitasi di perairan Simeulue. Peningkatan permintaan dan pengusahaan lobster menyebabkan tekanan penangkapan terhadap populasi lobster semakin intensif dan tidak terkendali. Untuk itu diperlukan informasi tentang biologi reproduksi dan parameter populasi lobster dalam rangka pengelolaan sumberdaya lobster yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Mei sampai dengan Desember 2015 diperairan Simeulue dengan tujuan untuk mengestimasi parameter populasi lobster bambu. Pengamatan dan pengukuran lobster dilakukan di tempat pengumpul lobster dengan sistem sampling acak (random sampling). Analisis data parameter populasi menggunakan software FiSAT (Stock Assessement Tools). Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kondisi lobster bambu jantan dan betina tidak seimbang (1 : 1,5), pola pertumbuhan bersifat alometrik negatif dengan nilai b sebesar 2,924 dan rata-rata pertama kali tertangkap (Lc) = 86 mmCL. Laju pertumbuhan (K) = 0,320 per tahun dan panjang karapas asimtotik (CL  ) 149,1 mm. Laju mortalitas alami (M) = 0,99 per tahun, laju kematian akibat penangkapan (F) sebesar 0,84 per tahun dan laju kematian total (Z) sebesar 1,83 per tahun. Tingkat eksploitasi (E) sebesar 0,46 atau pemanfaatan sumberdaya lobster bambu belum optimum. Penambahan baru dalam populasi berlangsung sepanjang tahun dan mencapai puncaknya pada Juni dan Juli bersamaan dengan musim timur. Untuk itu perlu adanya regulasi pemerintah dalam pengelolaan perikanan lobster yang berkelanjutan dengan menerapkan close season lobster pada puncak musim pemijahan. The present work aimed to study some aspect of the reproductive biology of the P. javanicus with emphasis on histopathology abnormalities of gonads and intersex problems. Fish samples of Puntius javanicus (local name:tawes) were collected from Mas River on the Surabaya downtown whereas highly pollution. Fishes were identified for morphological abnormality and gonad organs were evaluated. Histological preparation was done to observe the gonad condition. This report reveals that 20% male P. javanicus were found to be feminized on July 19, 2012 collection from that river. Some histological samples indicated the presence of testis-ova in fish gonad, which indicated the occurrence of intersex of this species. The above finding suggests that greater attention needs to be given to xenobiotic pollutants and endocrine disrupting chemicals problems.

Abstract: The relation between length (L) and weight (W) was estimated for 32 species representing 12 families of fishes from six water resources in the Marmara region, Turkey. The parameter b ranged from 2.66 to 3.56. For 12 species length-weight relationships were not previously available.
