Le N quantité : un substantif (quantificateur) comme les autres ?

Abstract

In this work, we will focus on some of the properties of the French noun of quantity. A few of the questions raised are the following : What is its ontological status, what is its meaning ? What are its sites of occurrences ? What is its position within the nominal category ? How is it located in regard to the substantives in general, and to the quantifiers in particular ? The different reflections carried out throughout this study, by pointing out that the noun of quantity is not a standard noun, will give some elements of answers to these questions.
