Produksi padi pada pertengahan tahun 2022 mengalami penurunan dari sebesar 54,75 juta ton di tahun 2022. Petani meningkatkan produksinya dengan menggunakan pestisida. Pestisida akan mengurangi fungsi ekologi di area tersebut. Dampak dari pestisida tersebut akan mengakibatkan hilangnya fungsi-fungsi ekologi sehingga tidak lagi terjadi keseimbangan antara flora dan fauna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan menginventarisasi tanaman refugia sebagai informasi dasar salah satu metode dalam rekayasa habitat, pengelolaan pertanian berkelanjutan, dan upaya konservasi pada bidang pertanian. Pengamatan sampel menggunakan metode transek kuadrat dengan mengukur luas dan panjang berbentuk persegi panjang dengan ukuran 1 x 1 m. Tanaman yang ditemukan di hitung dan diidentifikasi. Hasil pengamatan diperoleh tanaman yang diidentifikasi dan telah diklasifikasikan sebagai tanaman refugia. Didapatkan 95 individu yang terdiri dari 12 jenis tanaman yang tergolong refugia. Spesies yang dominan adalah Synedrella nodiflora sebanyak 18 individu, Tridax procumbens sebanyak 16 individu, Mikania micrantha sebanyak 12 individu. Tanaman refugia memiliki bunga yang terang, karakteristik yang rimbun, dan menghasilkan senyawa kimia yang dapat menarik musuh alami. Beberapa jenis tanaman refugia memiliki potensi dalam metode rekayasa habitat, pengelolaan pertanian berkelanjutan, dan upaya konservasi pada bidang pertanian.

Coffee is one of the export commodities in Indonesia. East Java is one of the largest Coffee supplies with land that is widely spread, such as in Malang and Pasuruan Regencies. The agroforestry system is applied in coffee cultivation, the system has different management from plantations for example the use of shade trees which will affect the structure of aerial insect diversity. Aerial insects play an important role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. The research objective was to determine the diversity and dominance of aerial insects in coffee agroforestry in East Java. The research method is exploratory, taking aerial insects using a yellow pan trap. The abiotic factors observed were light intensity, wind speed, temperature and humidity, and data analysis with past 4.03 program. The results of the study found 407 individuals in Dampit coffee agroforestry and 470 individuals in Purwodadi coffee agroforestry. The diversity and dominance index values were found to be the highest in Dampit coffee agroforestry. From the results of the analysis of abiotic factors, it is found that temperature and humidity in Dampit coffee agroforestry have higher values while wind speed and sunlight intensity of Purwodadi coffee agroforestry have higher values. The differences in the number and types of insects as well as the differences in the diversity and dominance index obtained, explained that the two study sites had differences in abiotic factors and shade trees.

Alue Naga is one of the coastal and marine areas in the city of Banda Aceh which has the potential for aquaculture and high economic value, namely green mussels (Perna viridis L). This research aims to determine the growth and survival rate of green mussels with different stocking densities in Alue Naga ponds which are still influenced by the tides of seawater. The layout of the green mussel cultivation container is at the pond water gate. The method used is an experimental test method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) model with 3 treatments, each treatment 3 times repeated. Research shows that the best average growth and survival rate for green mussels are found in treatment A with a stocking density of 20 seeds/basket, absolute length growth with an average value of 45.52 ± 0.42 mm, weekly length growth rate with an average value -an average of 3.79 ± 0.03 mm/week and an average weight of 25.92 ± 0.19 grams, while the survival rate reached 91.66%. Differences in green mussel stocking density had a significant effect on absolute length growth (PM), absolute weight (BM), and weekly length growth rate (LPPM), while survival (SR) had no significant effect.
