The study aimed to investigate the quality of the developed student worksheet with a problem-solving approach in line to the determined criteria and the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills and the conceptual understanding of physics by implementing the student’s worksheet. This study was a research and development study by applying the development model by Borg & Gall. The try out subjects of validation product were students of grades X and XI of MAN (Islamic High School) Yogyakarta III. The data collection techniques used validation sheets, observation sheets, evaluation sheets of student’s worksheet, and tests. The product of this research was student’s worksheet with a problem-solving approach on the topic of optical instruments for grade X of senior high school. The evaluation of student’s worksheet by experts, teachers, peer reviewers, and students are at the best categories for learning, construct, and technical aspects. The gained standard score of students’ conceptual understanding and students’ critical thinking skills for grade X who learned through student’s worksheet with a problem-solving approach, called treatment class, were higher than students who learned without student’s worksheet with a problem-solving approach, called control class.

Keterbatasan penggunaan media pembelajan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar sehinnga perlu adanya pengembangan media pembelajaran agar tiap peserta didik mampu belajar secara kritis dan mandiri. Keterampilan tersebut penting ditanamkan dalam proses belajar mengajar sebagai landasan untuk menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan dalam masyarakat di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan dan mengembangkan pop-up book sebagai media pembelajaran pada topik daur hidup hewan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE dengan subjek penelitian yaitu 32 siswa dan guru di Sekolah Dasar(SD) Kaliabang Tengah VIII. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Instrument perolehan data yaitu kuisioner dengan skala liktar1-5 dan tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: (1) media pop-up book berbasis kemampuan HOTS pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE melalui 5 tahap yaitu analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. (2) hasil validasi pop-up book berbasis kemampuan HOTS dari para review dinyatakan valid oleh para ahli, hasil review ahlimateri 98, 67% (sangat baik), hasil review ahli media 90,67% (sangat baik), hasil review oleh pendidik 92% (sangat baik), uji coba peserta didik 82,60% (sangat baik). Dengan demikian media pembelajaran berupa pop-up book berbasis kemampuan HOTS pada topic IPA mengenai daur hidup hewan dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. (3) media pop-up book dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik tingkatan SD.

Student’s perception is the student's assessment of something or information. The objective of this study was to discover how students' general perceptions and gender differences in electronic modules of mathematical physics. The research type is survey-based research with quantitative approach. The research population consists of physics education students from Universitas Jambi with the sample of 80 students from class A and class B. The data analysis techniques used in the study are descriptive statistics analysis and inferential data analysis using t-tests. The results showed that, overall, students have a positive perception with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.011 < 0.005, which means that there is a significant difference in students’ perception. The perception of class A students with gender differences has a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.003, while the grade B students have a Sig. (2 tailed) values of 0.020 and 0.013. This means that class A and classs B students have a discernible difference of perception. Student’s perception may be used as a determining factor in the choice of learning materials. This research can be used as a guideline for the development of student perception assessment in the electronic module of Mathematical Physics in the future. The update of this study aims to compare students' perceptions of the overall online module of mathematics and gender differences.
