Kementerian Perindustrian berencana memberlakukan wajib SNI 01-2970-2006, Susu bubuk dan SNI 01-2971-1998, Susu kental manis dalam regulasi teknis pada tahun 2013-2014 untuk melindungi masyarakat dari masalah keamanan pangan dan kesehatan.
