Background: According to basic health research in Indonesia from 2018, the national prevalence of stunting among children under five is 30.80%. Half of the ten highest-priority villages for national stunting interventions in the Lamongan District are located in Glagah Sub-district. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the determinants of stunting in children aged 6 to 59 months in the Muslim population in the Glagah Sub-district, Lamongan District, 2019. Methods: The design of this study was an analytic observational case-control. The population was mothers with children aged 6 to 59 months in Glagah Sub-district. The samples comprised 44 cases and 88 controls. They were paired with matching variables, including gender and clean water sources. Cluster sampling techniques and probability proportional to the size sampling method were utilized to calculate the sample size for each cluster. Data collection was carried out using a modified research questionnaire. Research was carried out in June–July 2019. Bivariate analysis was performed with chi-square and independent t-tests at the significance level α= 0.05. Results: The factors found to be related to stunting were bodyweight at birth (p-value 0.01; eta2 0.09), protein intake (p-value 0.01; eta2 0.12), energy intake (p-value 0.01; eta2 0.19), maternal height (p-value 0.01; eta2 0,08), and parenting pattern (p-value 0.03; ORpermissive 3.33, ORmoderate 1.69). Conclusion: Determinants associated with stunting were bodyweight at birth, protein and energy intake, maternal height, and parenting pattern. Integrated Service Post officers can provide education and workshops on good parenting patterns to parents of toddlers.

Kehamilan akan memengaruhi hampir setiap aspek kehidupan wanita. Selama kehamilan, terjadi beberapa perubahan sistemik seperti perubahan hormon dan sistem imun yang dapat meningkatkan kerentanan ibu hamil terhadap penyakit gigi dan mulut seperti karies dan penyakit periodontal. Perubahan tersebut dapat juga menimbulkan komplikasi pada ibu hamil seperti timbulnya penyakit sistemik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengalaman karies, penyakit periodontal, dan keadaan sistemik pada ibu hamil. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif cross-sectional. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 50 ibu hamil. Variabel pengalaman karies diukur menggunakan indeks DMF-T. Penyakit periodontal diukur menggunakan Community Periodontal Index, dan keadaan sistemik diambil dari rekam medis. Hasil: Indeks DMF-T ibu hamil 9,9 termasuk kategori sedang, Hasil CPI yaitu periodontal sehat 0%, perdarahan gusi 2%, kalkulus 84%, poket 4-5 mm 14%, poket ≥6 mm 0%. Keadaan sistemik ibu hamil 70% sehat, 18% anemia, dan 12% hipertensi. Simpulan: Pengalaman karies ibu hamil berada pada kriteria sedang, sedangkan penyakit periodontal paling banyak adalah gingivitis. Keadaan sistemik ibu hamil paling banyak ditemukan dalam keadaan sehat dan hanya terdapat sedikit ibu hamil yang memiliki penyakit sistemik seperti anemia dan hipertensi.

Hypertension is the fifth leading cause of death in Indonesia. Hypertension occurs because the blood vessels are continuously experiencing high pressure. Medical device that supports doctors and other health workers in diagnosing hypertension is sphygmomanometer. Sphygmomanometer is an instrument for measuring blood pressure. Accuracy of blood pressure measurement is very important in diagnosing hypertension. An Error in measuring blood pressure will be fatal for patients, health workers, and health facilities. So that this study aims to analyze the quality of automatic and non-automatic sphygmomanometer. This research method is in form of quantitative research based on experiments. The data was taken by using direct measurements. Measurements were carried out by using the 2018 Ministry of Health work method. Quality assessment of the sphygmomanometer was taken based on the results of sphygmomanometer calibration analysis. Automatic sphygmomanometer with the OMRON brand got score 95 and the non-automatic sphygmomanometer with the ABN brand got score 97.3. The results of the analysis showed that both tools had high accuracy of pressure measurement and were within tolerance limits. So it can be concluded that both tools are feasible to use.
