Karyotypes in six leukaemia cell lines derived from patients with ALL

Abstract: Karyotypes were studied in six continuous Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV)‐negative leukaemia cell lines. The lines have been established from patients with acute lymphocytic leukaemia (ALL) and express a T‐cell or a non‐T/non‐B cell phenotype. Five of the six lines have developed tetraploidy in all or in some of the cells. Two lines showed a 6q‐marker and one line an isochromosome 7q; both aberrations have previously been described in ALL.
