The objective of this study was to examine the effect of Gynura divaricata (Jakr-Na-Rai, JNR) on the growth performance, hematology, and carcass fat deposition of broilers. A total of 240 male Cobb-500 birds, 22 d old, were randomly allocated into five treatment groups of six replicates. Each group was raised at a high stocking density of 28 kg of body weight/m 2 until day 43. The treatments consisted of (i) a basal diet, or the basal diet supplemented with (ii) 2.5 mg/kg avilamycin (T2), (iii) JNR crude ethanol extract at a flavonoid level of 1.3 g/kg (T3), and (iv and v) JNR powder at a flavonoid level of 1.3 (T4) or 2.6 g/kg (T5). Dietary supplementation with JNR powder at both flavonoid levels decreased the heterophil/lymphocyte ratio compared to the other groups (P < 0.001). Birds in the T5 group presented decreased blood glucose (P < 0.005) and cholesterol (P < 0.002) levels and a numerically (P = 0.056) decreased triglyceride level. The total bile acid concentration increased (P < 0.001) in all the JNR-fed groups, but there was no significant effect on the digestibility of ileal protein or fat. At 1.3 g/kg of diet, JNR increased the final body weight and feed intake (P < 0.05), but the average daily gain and feed conversion ratio were not different among groups. The carcass and abdominal fat percentages were lowest in chicks fed on the diets supplemented with 2.6 g/kg JNR powder (P < 0.007 and P < 0.025, respectively). Drip loss and malondialdehyde concentrations in the breast meat did not change. In conclusion, JNR powder improved several hematological parameters, increased total bile acid concentrations, and decreased the percentage of abdominal fat. The powder form of JNR elicited better results than the ethanol extract form at the same flavonoid inclusion level.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui susut masak, daya ikat air dan kadar protein daging ayam broiler yang diberi pakan mengandung tepung ikan. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) untuk menguji 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 6 ekor ayam sehingga terdapat 16 satuan percobaan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah terdiri atas : (i) pakan komersil BP-11 sebagai pakan control (P0), 43% Jagung Kuning + 21% Dedak + 27% CAB + 9% Tepung Ikan (P1), 43% Jagung Kuning + 23% Dedak + 22% CAB + 12% Tepung Ikan (P2), dan 43% Jagung Kuning + 25% Dedak + 17% CAB + 15% Tepung Ikan (P3). Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah susut masak daging, daya ikat air daging, dan kadar protein daging ayam broiler. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan jika perlakuan yang berpengaruh maka dilanjutkan uji beda antar perlakuan menggunakan uji wilayah berganda Duncan (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap susut masak daging, daya ikat air daging dan kadar protein daging. Rataan susut masak berkisar antara 35,55% - 40,49%, daya ikat air 30,37% - 34,70% dan kadar protein 23,50%-24,83%. Penggunaan tepung ikan dengan level hingga 15% dalam ransum tepung ikan menghasilkan kualitas fisik dan kimia daging ayam broiler yang relatif sama antar perlakuan

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of giving various types of feed additives to the chemical composition value of super chicken chicken (Gallus domestica). This research is an experimental research using 20 super chicken chickens that come from chicken growth research (growth study). The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL), consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment given was (A0 = control (Vita chick 0.7 gram / liter; A1 = 20 ml / liter probio-FM; A2 = 0.08% MOS-oligosaccharide / kg of feed and A3 = herbal leuser KI 5 ml / liter). is a 90 day old super chicken breast Chicken Variable observed moisture content, protein content and fat content The data obtained were analyzed by using vocabulary and tested further by Duncan's Multiple Range Test The results showed that treatment (P> 0,05) to the value of water content and protein of super chicken fowl.Average value of water content at each treatment A0 (69,81%), A1 (70,74%), A2 (71,56%) and A3 (71,52%) while mean value of protein A0 (18,95%), A1 (19,61%), A2 (19,01%) and A3 (19,14%)) P <0,05) to the fat content of super chicken flesh, mean of fat content were A0 (2.02%), A1 (1.49%), A2 (1.37%) and A3 (2.0%).Abstrak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap nilai kadar air dan protein daging ayam kampung super. Rataan nilai kadar air pada setiap perlakuan A0 (69,81%), A1 (70,74%), A2 (71,56%) dan A3 (71,52%) sedangkan rataan nilai kadar protein A0 (18,95%), A1 (19,61%), A2 (19,01%) dan A3 (19,14%). Perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,05) terhadap nilai kadar lemak daging ayam kampung super. Rataan kadar lemak yaitu A0 (2,02%), A1 (1,49%), A2 (1,37%) dan A3 (2,0%).
