Isolation of Natural Products

Abstract: Plant had been used as medicine in ancient. Now day's Pharmaceutical companies start processing of medicinal and aromatic plants in their formulation by using extraction of active components. Extraction of plant components likes volatile, Essential or ethereal oils and mixtures composed of volatile liquid and solid compounds depend upon their composition and their boiling point. Now days there are several processes like distillation, enfleurage, maceration, expression, solvent extraction and fluid extraction a… Show more

“…Polar compounds probably up to monoglycosides may have been present in the ethyl acetate soluble fraction. The n-butanol soluble fraction may have contained polar compounds which were mainly glycosides, and the final aqueous suspension fraction may have contained polar glycosides with polysaccharides (Visht & Chaturvedi, 2012; Satyajit et al , 2006).…”

“…Natural Material Chemistry is a branch of chemistry that studies the analysis of secondary metabolite compounds (Visht & Chaturvedi, 2012). The project of isolating secondary metabolites from plants will provide an opportunity for students to prove the truth of a concept (Mujiyanti et al, 2020).…”
