Investigation of Different Values of Nanoimidacloprid for Control of Tobacco Aphids Myzuspersicaenicotianaein Laboratory

Abstract: Nano-insecticides which have economic importance and high health because of its greater effectiveness compared with conventional varieties of crops are used to combat pests. Another subject which need to be researched and development in the field of nano-pesticides is pest resistance to pesticides. This phenomenon seriously reduced the number of pesticides. In this regard, in order to evaluate the performance of various amounts of nanoimidacloprid for control tobacco aphids Myzuspersicaenicotianae use emulsion… Show more

“…Many investigations have been conducted on the oil effects (Schmutterer and Ascher, 1984;Nassar, 1995;Bream et al 2001;Butterworth and Morgane, 1968;Zanno et al, 1975). They may also disrupt growth; inhibit mounting (Garcia and Rembold, 1984;Dorn et al, 1986) and oogenesis (Steets, 1976;Rembold and Sieber, 1981;Senthilnathan and Saehoon, 2005).…”

“…Chemical control considered as main for rapid treatment of infected palm trees which is one of the most effective methods in pest control (Al Dawood et al, 2013;Abdel-Salam et al, 2014). Several reports indicated the success of chlorpyrifos and imidacloprid in control R. ferrugineus (Abuzuhairah et al, 1996;Abraham and Vidyasagar, 1992;Cabello et al, 1997;Kaakeh, 2006;Dembilio et al, 2014).While others recommended using nano imidacloprid in control some pests (Sabbour, 2015;Assemi et al, 2014). In previous investigation (Abdelfattah et al, 2019) evaluated the tested pesticides and their nanoparticles in a laboratory and field and found them effective and recommended.…”

“…In our results, the insecticide lambda-cyhalothrin was the most effective insecticide against the cotton aphids, A. gossypii, in agreement with the results of Kandil et al (2022), who found lambdacyhalothrin (with an LC50 of 0.021 µg/mL) was the most effective insecticide against cowpea aphids, followed by cypermethrin, (0.056 µg/mL) dinotefuran (0.89 µg/mL), acetamiprid (0.95 µg/mL), and thiamethoxam (3.82 µg/mL). Also, in this respect, Assemi et al (2014) found that the nano-pesticide of imidacloprid (0.512 ppm) was much more effective, around five times higher than synthetic (2.56 ppm) after 24 hours of application against Myzus persicae in laboratory bioassay. The current results are in harmony with the results of Zeng et al (2016), who studied the toxicity of imidacloprid and cyantraniliprole against Myzus persicae and estimated the fifty lethal concentrations by 12.726 and 1.691 ppm for cyantraniliprole and imidacloprid, respectively.…”

“…Rising interest occurred recently with nanopesticides. Nano-imidacloprid has been used to control several insects (Sabbour, 2015;Assemi et al, 2014). This study refers to using citronella could be very effective especially when we use nicotinoides pesticides, in order to repel bee and keep them safe.…”
