Maximizing customer value and minimizing waste have become the heart of the formulation of SMEs in the manufacturing sector of Jordan to survive in the new global marketplace. Therefore, lean manufacturing philosophy is used in SMEs to improve performance regarding quality, delivery, and costs to become efficiently competitive, thus accomplishing sustainable economic growth. The current study was designed to analyze the extent to which lean management bundles are adopted by SMEs manufacturing organizations in Jordan and the effect on their performance. Data were collected from 278 manufacturing SMEs in Jordan based on a structured questionnaire. The theoretical relationships were examined using structural equation modeling. The results show that Total Quality Management (TQM) and Human Resources Management (HRM) lean bundles are positively associated with manufacturing SMEs’ performance. The outcomes of this study may be considered as incentives for other practitioners and entrepreneurs of SMEs when implementing lean bundles by acknowledging the positive effect on their performance. Moreover, the findings of this study could be used in an internal checklist before and during the implementation of Lean Manufacturing (LM).

The concept of overconfidence is well understood in the financial market and corporate decision as individual investors and managers of large corporations prone to overconfident bias. This paper is the first to conceptualize overconfidence bias in working capital management and performance of Small and medium enterprises by employing qualitative case study inquiry to gain insight and SME managers overconfident behavior. This paper argues that overconfidence bias can distort working capital investment with the possibility of overinvestment working capital inventory if SME managers have enough internal equity in anticipation of higher performance.

Home Industry Krupuk Tahu "ISTIMEWA" Bangil merupakan indusri rumahan yang cukup berkembang dan mampu memenuhi beberapa wilayah baik kabupaten Pasuruan maupun Kota Pasuruan, hanya saja dalam hal ini bentuk kebutuhan untuk persiapan bahan baku masih terbilang manual atau tradisional hanya dengan menggunakan insting atau perkiraan saja, sehingga harus melakukan pemesanan bahan baku berulang-ulang yang berakibat pada pembengkakan biaya pemesanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pemesanan secara maksimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) dengan memperhitungkan biaya pemesanan biaya penyimpanan. Pengaplikasian metode EOQ tersebut diharapkan mampu menangani masalah yang selama ini terjadi. berdasarkan hasil analisa biaya, pemesanan mengalami kenaikan dari 68,75 Kilogram menjadi 973 Kilogram. Dengan metode EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) juga dapat diketahui besar nilai Safety Stock yaitu 250 Kilogram dan Pre Order Point sebesar 19,4 Kilogram, untuk mencegah terjadinya keterlambatan persediaan bahan baku. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitan ini bahwa dengan menerapakan metode EOQ membuktikan biaya produksi dalam produksi krupuk dapat ditekan lebih rendah untuk mendapatkan laba yang lebih optimal.
